With a flag raising ceremony the NATO Deployable Air Command and Control Centre (DACCC) at Poggio Renatico, Italy, officially welcomed the Czech Republic Air Force as an integrated member.
"With today’s arrival of the Czech Republic all 16 DACCC nations are now present,” said Major General Roberto Nordio, who presided over the ceremony. "This is a major milestone in the history of the unit.”
COM DACCC, DCOM DACCC and the Senior National Representatives (Czech Republic in foreground) salute the raising of the Czech Republic Flag.
"With the raising of the flag of the Czech Republic, we are now officially a DACCC member,” said Major Zdenek Koreczki, the Czech Republic Senior National Representative in the DACCC. "We are honoured and proud to be part of this professional unit,”.
The DACCC’s Mission is to prepare the Deployable Air Operations Centre and DARS (Deployable Air Control Centre, Recognised Air Picture Production Centre and Sensor Fusion Post) and, when activated, the Deployable Sensor Suite (DSS) for world-wide operational deployments. It enables forward deployment of Joint Force Air Component (JFAC) elements and serves as the Department Head for JFAC Training.
