DCOM AIRCOM meets NATO Secretary.

On 6 October 2014, French Lieutenant General Dominique de Longvilliers, Deputy Commander of Allied Air Command at Ramstein, Germany, met NATO’s Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg at Lask Air Force Base, Poland, together with Polish military and civilian representatives and Allied pilots executing NATO’s Baltic Air Policing mission.

General de Longvilliers represented Allied Air Command, which is responsible for the Air Policing mission over the NATO Area of Responsibility, and more specifically for implementation of the Immediate Reassurance Measures related to enhanced Air Policing at the eastern flank of Europe. Within this framework, four Allies execute this task: lead Nation Portugal with F-16 fighters as well as augmenting Nations Canada with CF-188s at Siauliai, Lithuania, Germany with Eurofighter aircraft at Ämari, Estonia, and the Netherlands with F-16 fighters at Malbork, Poland.
