Allied Air Command achieves Full Operational Capability
Dec 3, 2015
RAMSTEIN AIR BASE, Germany – Gen. Frank Gorenc, Commander, NATO Allied Air Command, declared Full Operational Capability of AIRCOM Nov. 30.
In a message to the Supreme Allied Commander Europe, General Gorenc stated, "It gives me great pleasure to declare Allied Air Command, including all of its Entities, Fully Operationally Capable.”
This achievement comes after numerous operational milestones including joint operational exercises and live training events over the past several years – all designed to ensure AIRCOM mission success.
With Exercise TRIDENT JET ready to complete the final top-off training for AIRCOM senior staff from Dec. 7-11, the FOC declaration offered a welcome closure to a successful 2015 for the headquarters.
"Our efforts must now be directed to sustaining this capability, whilst also meeting the new challenges ahead,” said General Gorenc in his declaration letter. "Our mission must prevail.”
