Deputy Commander

Brigadier General Ralf Raddatz

Brigadier General Ralf Raddatz is Deputy Commander of the NATO's Combined Air Operations Command at Uedem, Germany.

He was born in Wilhelmshaven, Germany on 06 October 1958. He and his wife have one child.

He started his career in the German Air Force in 1979 and became a weapon systems officer in 1982. After earning his wings, he served ten years as Weapon System Officer F- 4F Phantom at Tactical Fighter Wing 36 "Westfalen", Hopsten, Germany before he became the Squadron Commander at Fighter Wing 74, Neuburg, Germany.

Following this assignment, he was selected to attend the Federal Armed Forces General Staff College in Hamburg, Germany.

During his career, Brigadier General Raddatz served in various command assignments and in various functions within the German Ministry of Defence in Berlin and Bonn and within the Air Force Operations Command, Kalkar, Germany.

After his assignment as Defence Attaché, Embassy London, U.K. he became the Deputy Chief of Staff Multinational Air Operations and Director Joint Force Air Component Headquarter at Air Operations Command, Kalkar.

Brigadier General Raddatz is a command weapon systems officer with more than 2,000 flying hours.
