DSACEUR visits HQ AIRCOM

General Bradshaw, who is second in command of NATO’s Allied Command Operations, was updated on developments at Allied Air Command (AIRCOM) and briefed about the 24/7 missions of Air Policing and Ballistic Missile Defence.

"It has been extremely useful and productive to discuss directly with General Gorenc the specific capabilities of Joint Air and Space Power so necessary for enabling any NATO operation,” said General Sir Adrian Bradshaw. "NATO will continue to call upon air power’s unmatched responsiveness and flexibility to safeguard NATO airspace, identify and, if called upon, counter emerging threats to the Alliance. I congratulate General Gorenc and the Air Command team for their continued execution of their 24/7 peacetime Air Policing and Ballistic Missile Defence missions. AIRCOM provides vital enabling contributions to the Readiness Action Plan Assurance Measures and continues to engage fully in the process of NATO Adaptation in the face of new and emerging security challenges. I pay tribute to the leadership of General Gorenc and the energy and imagination of his team at AIRCOM in making all of this happen!”
