EINDHOVEN, the Netherlands - The European
Air-to-Air Refueling Training 2017 also known as EART 17 will take place form
March 27 to April 07 at Eindhoven Air Base, the Netherlands. Tanker aircraft
from France, Germany, Italy, and the Netherlands will conduct live air-to-air
refueling for Allied fighter jets participating in exercise Frisian Flag
2017 taking place at Leeuwarden Air Base.
EART 2017 is the
fourth edition of this multinational training; it is a dedicated air-to-air
refueling (AAR) training for tankers and crews in order to become familiar with
realistic scenarios to which they are not regularly exposed. Another objective
is to maintain proficiency and enhance mutual knowledge of multinational tanker
aircraft.
A media day will be organized at
Eindhoven Air Base on Wednesday, March
29, 2017 including an information briefing on EART 17, a static display
of tankers and a media flight with opportunity for photography of Allied fighter
aircraft involved Frisian Flag.
