Allied Air Command confirms preparedness and readiness

RAMSTEIN, Germany - Allied Air Command, augmented by joint warfighting specialists from Allied and Partner nations has completed the command post phase of exercise TRIDENT JUNCTURE 18.

The purpose of the exercise was to certify that the NATO Command Structure Joint Force Air Component is prepared and ready to command and control Allied air force units and integrate Air and Space Power into Joint operations as part of the NATO Response Force 2019.   State-of-the-art Air Command and Control Systems and well-rehearsed augmentation by specialists from across NATO and Partner nations allow the Joint Force Air Component to execute its mission.

"I would like to thank all participants for their outstanding commitment to this joint endeavour", says Brigadier General Karsten Stoye, Deputy Chief of Staff Operations at Allied Air Command and Director of the Joint Force Air Component for the exercise.  "After ten days of intensive activity we can say confidently that we have accomplished our mission - confirming our air and space command and control capability and our ability to contribute to Alliance Joint Operations."
