AIRCOM welcomes Lieutenant General Pascal Delerce as new Deputy Commander

French Lieutenant General Pascal Delerce is the new Deputy Commander of Allied Air Command.

On 19 August, General Delerce officially arrived at the headquarters and was welcomed by the Chief of Staff, Major General Karsten Stoye, and an honour guard. General Delerce joined NATO’s Allied Air Command after his previous assignment as Deputy Commander of the French Air Force Command at Bordeaux-Merignac. He is an experienced pilot who has flown more than 2,500 flying hours on Mirage F1C and Mirage 2000 including more than one hundred combat missions over Chad, Iraq and Kosovo.

The position of Deputy Commander at Allied Air Command is alternatingly filled by a French and a British three-star general. The headquarters staff bid farewell to General Delerce’s predecessor, Air Marshal Stu Evans, on Friday, 15 August, in a traditional walk-out ceremony after three years in office.
