An important part of the last week was conducting training that included the employment of Standing Operation Procedures; this was led by NATO subject matter experts. The ability for Allied members to operate using common tactics, techniques and procedures is key to build greater cohesion across the Alliance.

The multinational team worked day and night, leveraging a highly capable group of communication specialists who set the conditions for the effective exchange of information, which mission success ultimately relies upon. Today’s battlefield is a highly networked and connected space, this hard work outlines the Allies ability to operate together effectively.

The performance of exercise participants from 10 different NATO nations showcases the alliance’s commitment to enhance interoperability. The troops are now set to deploy onto the exercise area in order to carry out drills and live firing training, demonstrating that it is not just aircraft that keep NATO’s skies safe.
