Allied Air Command practices fail safe procedures with CAOC Uedem

RAMSTEIN, Germany – Combined Air Operations Centre (CAOC) Uedem practiced their contingency procedures if they were to set up operations within Allied Air Command Headquarters on Ramstein Air Base 15 – 20 May, 21.

In case of an emergency, CAOC Uedem’s team can transit to Ramstein and continue operations to ensure the Alliance’s Northern air space safety and security. This exercise proves just that by testing the unit’s ability to operate despite changing locations and facing catastrophe.

Our team is equipped and ready to operate from CAOC Uedem or here at Ramstein to meet the Alliance’s security needs

“Our team is equipped and ready to operate from CAOC Uedem or here at Ramstein to meet the Alliance’s security needs,” said Wing Commander Greg Cooke, CAOC Uedem Duty Controller. “Practicing with our team at Ramstein allows for an easier transition and harps on our vital interoperability when we need to do these procedures in real time,” underlined Cooke.

These fall back producers are annually drilled to maintain the team’s capability and connection with the local teams at Ramstein AB.
