Allied Air Command's Mobile Training Team Visited Georgia

RAMSTEIN, Germany – From 7 to 11 June 2021, Allied Air Command Military Partnership Branch organised its first two Mobile Training Teams since more than one year ago in Tbilisi, Georgia.

Allied Air Command organises training events with Partners multiple times a year reaching across the globe to build upon the existing relationships. Mr. Brent Bohne, Senior Representative and Political Advisor of the Allied Air Command, and the AIRCOM team received a warm welcome by Colonel Sergio Ninua, Georgia's Aviation and Air Defence Commander. Two groups of 12 Georgian officers attended the Air Operation Planning Process and Air Space Management courses designed to familiarise attendees with NATO procedures and processes.

We recognise the great contributions Georgia has made to NATO and we continue to work with them through joint training sessions like these

"We recognise the great contributions Georgia has made to NATO and we continue to work with them through joint training sessions like these and in many other areas of cooperation. The in-person training sessions offer us the opportunity to see the capabilities first hand and really get a feel for where things are," stated Mr. Bohne.

Georgia has been a long standing Partner for Peace, one of only a few with Enhanced Opportunity Partner status, signifying the close working relationship between NATO and Georgia. More training events are in the process of being scheduled for the future with Georgia and with other partners in the region.
