RAMSTEIN AIR BASE, Germany – British and Norwegian F-35s worked out air-to-air maneuvers with U.S. B-52 while escorting the bomber through the North Sea on Feb. 15, 2022.

The Norwegian and British fighters escorted the bombers across the North Sea and accomplished a joint targeting mission with Norwegian Joint Terminal Attack Controllers. This mission focused on the integration of Allied 5th generation fighters and their ability to support legacy bomber aircraft.

Jeff Harrigian, Allied Air Command and U.S. Air Forces in Europe – Air Forces Africa Commander. "Building muscle memory through this type of training ensures we are ready," he underlined.

The bombers also integrated with the Norwegian Air Force and Navy for dynamic targeting and counter sea missions.

British integration focused on close air support and bomber aircraft escort maneuvers.
