British and Norwegian fighters integrate with Bomber Task Force

RAMSTEIN AIR BASE, Germany – British and Norwegian F-35s worked out air-to-air maneuvers with U.S. B-52 while escorting the bomber through the North Sea on Feb. 15, 2022.

The Norwegian and British fighters escorted the bombers across the North Sea and accomplished a joint targeting mission with Norwegian Joint Terminal Attack Controllers. This mission focused on the integration of Allied 5th generation fighters and their ability to support legacy bomber aircraft.

As we continue to integrate generations of technology across the theatre, we need to ensure that we have the flexibility to operate with each other in any domain at any time

"As we continue to integrate generations of technology across the theatre, we need to ensure that we have the flexibility to operate with each other in any domain at any time," said General. Jeff Harrigian, Allied Air Command and U.S. Air Forces in Europe – Air Forces Africa Commander. "Building muscle memory through this type of training ensures we are ready," he underlined.
