Czech Joint Tactical Attack Controllers during Close Air Support training

Czech Joint Tactical Attack Controllers during Close Air Support training

Watch the deployment and extraction of special forces in an area cleared by attack helicopters during night operations directed by Joint Terminal Attack Controllers or JTACs.

NATO Allies prepare across the whole spectrum of operations ensuring the Alliance has ready and well-trained forces available to conduct meaningful and credible Deterrence and Defence.

Allied JTACs provide the capability to guide aircraft and helicopters during operations on the ground. They support the land forces commander with critical Close Air Support from a forward position.

The Czech Armed Forces train this skill among other during live-flying JTAC exercise Ample Strike once a year with international participants and theatre-realistic scenarios.

Training activities like these help ensure JTAC forces keep their skills current.
