Ramstein, Germany – Fighter jets from nine Allied Nations will arrive at Ramstein Air Base to take part in the US-led multi-national exercise Ramstein 1v1, on June 6, 2024.
This exercise will bring together pilots from Allied countries, providing a valuable opportunity to enhance interoperability
United States Air Forces in Europe - Air Forces Africa will host its first ever Ramstein 1v1 exercise, where fourth- and fifth-generation fighter aircraft will take turns squaring off in friendly competition during a day-long fighter manoeuvre exercise.
On June 6, the skies over U.S. Air Base Ramstein will be buzzing with flying activity ´Allied fighter jets from several nations honing and refining their tactics, techniques and procedures in one-versus-one or 1v1 manoeuvres. “This exercise will bring together pilots from Allied countries, providing a valuable opportunity to enhance interoperability,” said U.S. Air Force Lieutenant Colonel Michael Loringer, the main Ramstein 1v1 planner. “Exercises like the Ramstein 1-v-1 help promote collaboration and camaraderie, key components of esprit de corps,” he added.
The exercise will have dynamic mission scenarios to allow participating Nations to hone and refine tactics, techniques, and procedures, proven to increase collective combat readiness.
