Germany – From March 31 to April 11, the Hellenic Air
Force (HAF) will host the multinational live-fly Exercise INIOCHOS 2025 at
Andravida Air Base, bringing together Allied and partner air forces to enhance
interoperability and strengthen operational readiness.
INIOCHOS is a large-scale multinational air exercise that
provides participating forces with a high-end training environment, simulating
complex and dynamic air combat scenarios. Designed to replicate a complex and congested
air environment, the exercise enables Allied aircrews to refine tactics,
techniques, and procedures in a realistic operational setting. By incorporating
real-time injects and modern threat simulations, INIOCHOS contributes to the
agility and effectiveness of NATO and partner forces.

The HAF will participate with its fighter aircraft,
helicopters, transport, and training aircraft, alongside contributions from
land and naval forces. This year’s exercise will see air participation from
multiple Allied nations, including France, Italy, Montenegro, Poland, Slovenia,
Spain, and the United States. Their contributions, ranging from advanced
fighter jets to specialized support assets, that will further enhance
operational and cooperation and integration.
Iniochos offers a challenging and comprehensive air
exercises for participating nations due to the challenging scenarios in a
geographically diverse environment, making the exercise a key component in
fostering multinational collaboration and airpower synergy.
The exercise will feature a diverse range of advanced combat
scenarios, including Offensive and Defensive Counter-Air Operations, Strategic
Air Operations, Combat Search and Rescue, integrated Air and Missile Defence (IAMD) and Time-Sensitive Targeting.
Additionally, INIOCHOS 2025 will integrate a substantial number of missions
using F-16 Tactical Simulators at the Operational Synthetic Training Squadron
of the Hellenic Air Tactics Center, expanding training opportunities into the
digital domain.
Through exercises like INIOCHOS 2025, Allied and partner air
forces continue to strengthen operational effectiveness, ensuring collective
defence and deterrence in an evolving security environment.
